RICH WEBSTER was born in 1953 in Holyoke, MA. He is the youngest of five children. Rich studied Liberal Arts at Excelsior College with his friend, Cameron Walsh. He was with Cameron when they formed the band, El Dorado, and when they the Roadhouse Sons band was born. Primarily, Rich plays bass, but also plays harmonica. He is a student of the blues and has a lifelong dream of visiting the crossroads made famous in the legend of Robert Johnson.

Rich is the dark horse of the lot, in more ways than one. His skin and complexion are more on the swarthy side, whereas the others are more fair and tanned. His dark features suggest a possible Native American heritage, and his dark hair, feathered back from his face, along with what some call a Fu Manchu mustache, render his appearance exotic, something complimented by his penchant for darker clothes and leather boots (a guise found to be very exciting by many a female patron). Never one to shy away from an audience, he likes to chat up the waitresses, extracting from them their names before placing a drink order. He almost never approaches the bar directly, but makes certain to deal directly with the servers throughout the band’s performances. Since these personnel were usually women, this helps generate a sense of competition with the female members of the audience, prompting them to dance in hopes of attracting Rich’s attention.

To those who do not know him, Rich’s reserved comportment makes him appear indifferent to the adoration of the audience, causing the ladies to vie even harder for his attention.
